It is a refreshing change to see a pretty full Premier League calendar this Saturday.

Manchester United and Arsenal appear to have home bankers in which both can strengthen their position at the top of the Premier League table. Elsewhere Manchester City and Tottenham both face tough away trips to test their title credentials; while West Ham won’t welcome the tough trip to Goodison Park as they look to drag themselves away from the bottom of the table.

So where are the points going this weekend? Let’s see what the experts think…

Everton v West Ham: Everton look like a team and West Ham don’t. There can surely be only one winner and that’s David Moyes’ men.

BLACKPOOL v SUNDERLAND. Ian Holloway’s resistance to overtures for Charlie Adam will pay dividends. Sunderland will be slightly deflated following the departure of Darren Bent and I expect a narrow home victory.

ARSENAL V WIGAN: One of the home bankers of the weekend and a game the Gunners simply have to win if they are serious about taking the title race to the wire. Should be comfortable.

Aston Villa v Man City: Gerrard Houllier’s stars are sure to be boosted by the arrival of Darren Bent in that shock £18 million transfer from Sunderland but Man City are unbeaten in their last 6 road trips and will be no pushovers – so honours even.

Newcastle v Tottenham: Tottenham have the stronger squad, but home advantage should earn Newcastle a point in an entertaining game.
